Online Marketing Manager/Director

Dash is preparing to launch the first Internet-connected GPS device in early 2008, where the Web will be a critical component in its advertising and customer acquisition efforts, and is looking for a Manager of Online Marketing to join our growing Marketing team. We are looking for a smart Web-savvy marketeer with solid SEO experience to manage our Internet marketing programs.  Reports to VP Marketing and for the right person this can be a Director level position
 
Responsibilities:
 
This individual will be responsible for coordinating all of Dash’s Internet advertising and online promotion activities, as a part of the company’s positioning and branding campaigns. He/she will oversee the planning and buying of paid search and banner advertising by agency partners, as well as initiate and manage online viral initiatives and promotional partnerships.
 
This individual will be expected to test and (where successful) optimize new and innovative ways to reach Dash’s potential customers online. He/she will also be responsible for the dash.net website, including constantly optimizing its organic search ranking. The successful candidate will monitor and report on the success of the online initiatives and continuously optimize each initiative and the overall online mix to maximize awareness, understanding, and purchase (both online and at retail) of the Dash device.
 
A successful candidate must have demonstrated success in online media planning and buying, for both organic and paid search optimization. Must be “Web 2.0 savvy” individual with a detailed understanding of current online advertising and partnership trends and opportunities.
 
Professional Experience
 
Search Marketing Skills:
• Implemented Search Engine Marketing Strategies to optimize returns.
• Extensive use and knowledge of Search Engines and Search Engine Optimization.
• Produced Pay-Per-Click marketing campaigns for a wide range of companies.
• Developed in-house SEO/PPC marketing strategies from the ground up.
 
Online Marketing Skills:
• D
esigned and launched collateral and creative for E-mail Marketing campaigns.
• Established best practices for Search Engine Optimization and Online Marketing practices.
• Initiated Web Analytics to produce web site statistics for reporting and testing purposes.
• Utilized Social Media Marketing and Optimization to increase brand awareness and web presence.
 
Other Qualifications
• Creative, positive attitude, quick learner, with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficient with Mac and Windows, Google, Yahoo and MSN Search Marketing Systems.
• Great team player as well as self-starter.
