With over 15,000 world-wide new user registrations a day, our client is proving themselves to be one of the emerging leaders in the latest and hottest global frontier in cell phone usage. Theyinitiated the term “downloadable mobile portal” and provide consumers world-wide with online services at their cell phones. Founded by one of Europe's top mobile entrepreneurs, and led by an experienced, serial CEO, the service and business plan were both designed in a way to overcome the barriers to mass-market adoption. With almost 2MM registered users in their first operational year, and solid venture capital and strategic investor backing, they now eye for 30MM new registered users with exciting and intriguing methods for marketing. They are seeking very driven individuals who can take their products to the market in new and exciting online and viral ways.
As the Viral Marketing Director, you will be exclusively responsible for the “go-to-market” for your product line. The post is the ultimate point of responsibility for user acquisition for your product line and is empowered accordingly.
Based in the Palo Alto office, you will be reporting to the General Manager and working very closely with the product managers, product development team, and with other senior management, including the CEO and President. You will be responsible for devising a “hands-on” implementation of the viral and online consumer marketing for the global user acquisition for your product line.
The successful candidate must be business savvy with proven innovative experience in viral and online consumer marketing and must be able to team up in a hands-on, fast-paced start-up environment collaborating with team members in the company’s offices in the US, EU, China and India. You will have the amazing opportunity to travel to international destinations and within North America!
As a Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to use your experience, skills and ideas to drive global market adoption. You will personally make an impact not just at an early stage company, but also in the mobile online consumer market.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 2 years of hands-on, current experience marketing a product or service to social networking sites and blogs, and running marketing incentives and cross promotions with existing customers for word of mouth referrals.
· 2 years of experience running viral campaigns for a product or service that has gained thousands of new users a day.
· Demonstrated ability relevant to the role and responsibility.
· Active marketing experience for an entire full cycle of a product.
· Demonstrated ease and comfort in working cross-functional teams and multi-tasking.
· Excellent interpersonal and people skills and out-of-the box thinking.
· Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
