Reports To: Director, Product Management
As a member of the Marketing team in the Product Manager - RNA role, you will be working with senior management to define requirements of the RNA product line based on overall business objectives, current market trends and customer needs. You will also partner with Sourcefire’s Engineering team to define product plans and schedules while evaluating timing, scope and resource trade-offs. You will be involved with the RNA product throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications to create product related sales and marketing materials; evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally; participating in tradeshows, seminars and user conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- At least 4 years experience in a product management role
- A comprehensive understanding of network monitoring and analysis technologies such as Sniffer, Netflow, bandwidth management, protocol analyzers
- Field experience working with customers and prospects in one more of the following capacities:
- Business Development
- Technical Sales
- Competitive analysis
- A customer centric background with an ability to clearly articulate customer challenges
- An ability to work comfortably with Engineers and Sales
- A business approach to solving technical challenges
- Ability to travel domestically and abroad
- Position is based in our Columbia, MD Headquarters
