Interested in being a key architect of an open source startup on the verge of disrupting a $5B market? Untangle could be for you. We’re seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive innovation, product strategy and adoption.
Our client has developed the world’s first commercial-grade open source solution for blocking spam, spyware, viruses, adware and unwanted content on the network. These applications are currently being used in hundreds of businesses in a variety of industries, including financial services, real estate, education, bio-science, and professional services.
As the Director of Product Management you will:
- Research customer needs
- Develop use cases and prototypes that engineers and prospects can resonate with
- Guide products through the development process, ensuring they meet the vision
- Develop strategic decision frameworks
- Drive the product strategy and roadmap
Qualifications:
- Experience taking products from idea stage to big market penetration.
- Proficient in engaging users and figuring out goals, priorities and hidden desires.
- Previous success in recognizing and delivering product differentiators that have market impact.
- Ability to guide senior management through strategic decisions.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Experience with one of the following: VOIP, networking, security and/or storage industries. Including knowledge of the technology, pain points, history, and players.
- Experience designing products for channels, in particular managed service providers, is strongly desired.
- 8-10 years Product Management or closely related professional work.
- Managed 3 or 4 extremely relevant products through the full product life cycle.
