As a Sr. Product Manager on the GoldMine Products team you will help define and execute on our Sales, Marketing and Relationship Management overall product strategy, including working on bring new releases of the product to market, key add-on on products and developing the next generation of GoldMine. You will work with fellow product managers, engineering, QA, customers and prospects. You'll be responsible for software products through all phases of their life cycle from research, definition, to development, release and post-launch. Must lead and create product definition, ensure proper rollout and actively drive market acceptance. With tight resources must find ways to execute all aspects of product management product requirements, define the vision and roadmap, create use cases and project manage the organizational readiness for product releases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with customers to understand and define product requirements
* Based on market-driven feedback from customers and prospects, the PM will write clear product requirements and use cases.
* The PM will work closely with development managers to define the contents and delivery of a product release.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Information Sciences, Computer Science, Business or Finance. Previous business, computer or management skills required.
* Minimum 8 years in the software business with a minimum of 3 years with a leading CRM company
* Managed commercial software products from inception to market rollout
* 3-5 years software development experience
* 3-5 years managing or developing applications on Microsoft platforms
Qualifications:
* Sound business common sense essential.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritize several projects at once.
* Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
* This person must work within a cross-functional organization
* Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Computer Skills:
Designed and created applications with leading edge technology; i.e. Java, .NET, UNIX or any other platform, environment or language as an early adopter
In depth knowledge of Windows desktop products like Word, Excel, Email and Project management software
