Job Scope:
The ideal candidate will have well rounded capabilities in software development, project management and product management. As a Product Manager, you will be the primary owner of Portico Systems’ products, working closely with Portico management, key customers, product architects and developers, sales and marketing teams, product support groups, and the product management team to develop and manage new product releases and upgrades.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle
· Define needs and translate them into product direction and release requirements
· Support partner relationships related to your product area(s) by providing technical and business insight and information
· Manage priorities and milestones for several development projects, working with engineering counterpart to ensure that products are on-target, on-time and of high quality
· Drive launch programs for new products, new releases in your product area(s)
· Define the go-to-market strategy, conveying product positioning, key benefits, and target customers
· Develop positioning materials and helping to support sales
· Work with Sales and Services to drive new business and ensure customer satisfaction
· Demonstrate overall product/business ownership for your product area
· Travel on a national basis 20%-30% of work schedule
Qualifications:
· 5-7+ years of related product management or a combination of product management and software-related project management experience
· Healthcare experience highly desirable but not required
· Experience with provider contracting and claims pricing preferred
· Strong presentation skills required
· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines required
· Good analytical and problem solving skills required
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
· Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
· Previous experience with user interface designs preferred
· Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required
· Proficient with MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, Visio required
