The Product Management Director will take end-to-end ownership of the product, identify market requirements, define the product vision and strategy, create preliminary design concepts and lead the implementation of the overall product from concept to delivery. As such, as PM you will own the execution of MPI’s vision and roadmap. You will be responsible driving product requirements, product development, and managing the development process for timely product and program launches.
This position works closely with the Engineering, Marketing and Sales to understand customer needs and market trends, define market requirements, assess competitors, and translate these findings into executable market requirement documents. It supports the tactical activities and product lifecycle management, inclusive of strategic definition launch, lifecycle and end of life planning.
Job Function & Responsibilities
· Product roadmap creation and development
· Drive strategy alignment, create / contribute to development of product positioning, packaging and pricing strategies
· Lead product development process and drive new feature development for existing application products
· Translates customer/clients needs into new features and services through written product requirements specification
· Assimilate target customer requirements - define subsequent product feature releases to meet evolving market demand
· Work with Strategic Marketing on positioning, messaging and partner marketing initiatives
· Perform competitive analysis and identify areas for competitive differentiation.
· Analyze the market and customer requirements in the context of the EVC platform strategy to identify the most compelling solutions, partnerships and GTM strategies
· Identify solution use cases for development
· Quantify business value and customer ROI for targeted solutions
· Serve as industry and solution evangelist at external events / industry tradeshows
· Deliver training and build capability in sales, SEs, consulting, and partner teams to articulate and deliver on EVC solutions.
· Develop sales tools, presentations and customer demonstration content
· Collaborate in cross-functional teams to analyze business and pricing models for strategy and penetration considerations
· Interface with customers, analysts, and internal stakeholders to incubate and validate strategic concepts
· Drive strategic investment decisions in R&D to support solution level business cases
· Communicate strategy effectively to diverse audience including executive management, analysts, customers, and employees
Skills, Education & Requirements
· 5 to 7 years of experience in product management,
· Track record of driving product requirements and working with a product teams (including Engineering).
· 3-5 years related experience in enterprise video communications technologies and applications. (video, audio, or other media products a strong plus)
· Requires 5+ years of directly relevant, hands-on marketing or product mgmt.
· 3-5 years Enterprise software development experience
· Partner program experience and technology integration
· Understand customers IT infrastructure and capabilities.
· Knowledge of software development methodologies
· High energy, enthusiasm, initiative and passion amidst startup environments
· Networking and Enterprise software / end-user solution experience preferred.
· Proven matrix management abilities in cross-functional environments including sales, marketing, business management, customer support and engineering teams.
· Ability to translate technology issues and customer needs into features and market requirements
· Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong quantitative analysis skills

· Top tier MBA preferred.
· Outstanding intellect, drive and interpersonal skills, and the drive to challenge the status quo are paramount to cover the scope of responsibilities required for this position.
· Knowledge of competitive landscape highly preferred

· Strong skills in driving product line strategy, portfolio management and all other aspects of product management to ensure ongoing delivery of market leading solution capabilities
Education/Training Required
· Requires 7+ years of prior product management experience accompanied by a BS degree in a technical field (i.e. computer science or engineering or equiv); a MBA is highly desired.
