Position Description:

We are looking for an energetic/visionary person to help create the future of motorsports programming across all media platforms – broadcast, interactive, iTV, wireless, gaming, etc.  As Motorsports Product Manager, you must have: a proven track record of excellence in product and project management; strong technical, leadership and interpersonal skills; creative vision and demonstrable experience in developing compelling content across a variety of media platforms; and a strong interest in and knowledge of motorsports.  You will be responsible for investigating and evaluating new and alternative technologies, conducting product feasibility studies, managing projects and deployment, and related competitive and market analysis.  Position reports to the Vice President of Product Management.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

-          Working externally with our media and league partners, and internally in conjunction with our Business Development and Media Production groups, develop an understanding of market needs, formulate product directions, and support the development of proposals

-          Lead new motorsports product development within Sportvision

o        Assess feasibility, define product feature sets and functionality (including relative prioritization), and formulate product directions

o        Set content strategy

o        Understand key technical issues and find optimal solutions for them

o        Identify key dependencies, uncertainties, and most important areas for risk management

o        Develop Product Descriptions and Product Roadmaps that clearly specify products, services and plans

o        Manage feature prioritization and delivery schedules

-          Investigate and evaluate competitive offerings and related markets

-          Develop business plans and financial forecasts

-          Manage client relationships with motorsports customers

-          Working with Operations and Engineering, coordinate deployment of new products and services

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this job will have creative and production experience across a number of media platforms – broadcast, interactive, iTV, wireless, etc.  We are looking for a Product Manager with the vision, creativity and rigor to help us win, big! The following skills and attributes are also required:

-          BS/BA; MBA preferred

-          Product development and/or product management experience in online,  video gaming, wireless, interactive television, fantasy sports or other consumer subscription businesses

-          Well honed marketing and financial analytical skills

-          Knowledge of television production technologies

Sr. Product Marketing Manager

Location: SAN MATEO, CA

We are currently looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our team in San Mateo. This position will report to the Director of Product Marketing, the Sr. Product Marketing Manager will work closely with customers & partners as well as with company's product, sales, and services staff to create all aspects of outbound and some parts of inbound marketing content needed to support a fast growing marketing department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This person shall lead the creation of all marketing collateral including a wide range of internal and external content such as product data sheets, sales scripts, FAQs as well as white papers. In addition, this person shall have responsibility for a case studies, ROI & solution papers based on customer interviews and discussions. Internal content shall be: sales scripts, competitive briefings, and market trends and monitoring reports.
  • Shall work with external PR and marketing communications companies to create specific messages. Work with design and graphic firms to create the complete set of content in all formats.
  • Shall create and maintain all product content for company website
  • The person shall also track and monitor competitive landscape and ensure company website accurately reflects the latest, differentiated company positioning.
  • Conduct customer and partner interviews to generate case studies as well as capture requirements
  • Analyze new industries and summarize and present business case opportunities for management
  • This person shall work closely with Corporate Marketing Managers, who are responsible for marketing plan, lead generation campaigns and go-to-market events and programs. This person shall ensure all the marketing collateral at these campaigns, programs and events is consistent in overall branding, message and details. This person shall also ensure all sales tools and collateral at these events and programs are up-to-date and complete.
  • Work closely with Product Management and other groups to translate technical vision into marketing communications such as technical white papers. Specifically, this person shall also work on market assessment and potential of current and future product modules. This shall include product pricing, packaging and nomenclature where appropriate.
  • Work closely with multiple team members of product, engineering, sales, pre-sales and services to fully understand and reflect both company and competitive product capabilities in all communications
  • Conceive and build (with product team) compelling product demos
  • Train company & sales teams on message and positioning
  • Maintain collateral library and guide field sales on its use

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years experience in product marketing and/or product management for data management, data integration, data quality, CRM, ERP, EAI, Web Services, or Analytics
  • Outstanding written communication skills to write various types of collateral; demonstrated ability to write product literature, customer interviews, case studies and white papers.
  • Strong, analytical thinking and clear, demonstrated oral communication skills to present the content to various sales, engineering and support staff
  • Strong initiative and follow-through skills with high attention to detail
  • Understand all aspects of product strategy and positioning and be able to incorporate that into all aspects of marketing
  • Experience in at least one startup company
  • Demonstrated the ability to be a self-starter, work individually on projects and as a supportive team member
  • Experience in lean, distributed, team oriented, fast paced, start-up environment
  • Team player that enjoys working with a close-knit group
  • Enthusiastic, hard working, and highly productive
  • Excellent interpersonal, team player skills
  • Capable of doing basic market research and analysis
  • Experienced at managing and delivering on time against multiple priorities
  • Strong technical undergraduate degree
  • MBA a plus
