As part of Crimson’s Interactive Services, Consultants are needed to a) help develop and ship new consumer hardware products that incorporates clients place-shifting technology and related home media networking functionality and b) help develop and ship an exciting new television set-top box that incorporates DVR technology, home media features and place-shifting technology. Our clients products are focused on networked multi-media with an emphasis on high-quality streaming video. They are developing and shipping great products and a strong intellectual property portfolio with several products in the marketplace already. They have a world-class leadership team with extensive pedigree.
Consultant will be responsible for but will not be limited to:
- Develop the product requirements, product roadmap, product positioning and competitive analysis for direct-to-consumer hardware products, including set-top boxes and accessories
- Assist in coordinating the go-to-market strategy and to support our short and long-term deployment goals: will need to understand the needs of the customer as well as be knowledgeable with any relevant competitive offerings
- Work closely with the various engineering teams, local and out-sourced, to develop these products
- Work with various internal groups, including product management, marketing, customer support, engineering, and QA on product feature deliverables, primarily to ensure that the internal teams are working against a master schedule, identifying important cross-functional dependencies and prioritizing product development tasks accordingly
- Work with outside vendors and suppliers, business and content partners and international deployment partners
- Assist in the development of formalized beta programs
Must Have:
- 5+ years experience in a product marketing or product management capacity, preferably for consumer oriented products and services
- Deep technical understanding of consumer technologies, including audio/video, mobile and Internet media
- Proven business, communications, project management and operational skills
· BA/BS Business/Engineering, Marketing or related
Location: Peninsula, On-site required
