Job Summary:
As a Technical Content Developer 4 you are a key planner and strategist for the organization. Our challenge is to accelerate sales of Purisma CDI/MDM solutions into D&B's customer base throughout 2008 while defining a winning roadmap that more deeply integrates Purisma technology with the data and product assets within D&B's current lines of business. You will be a key player in defining and executing upon a product roadmap that creates real customer value and sustainable differentiation by leveraging D&B data, D&B technology, and D&B business applications.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES

* Initimately understand customer and prospect needs, as well as internal stakeholder requirements (sales, services, support). Effectively communicate these needs throughout the organization, serving as a definitive "voice of the customer."

* Conceive and deliver winning products and product capabilities, partnering with Engineering on implementation, Services and Support on delivery, and Sales on training.

* Coordinate product launch/go-to-market activities, helping stakeholders stay aligned to the product vision while tracking deliverables and dependencies across functional areas.

* Help win business by serving as a product authority.

IV. EXPERIENCE and EXPERTISE

Required:

* 3+ years experience in enterprise software Product Management, with inception-through-support understanding of the software product lifecycle.

* Understand the role and effective application of key enterprise
technologies: CDI/MDM; data standardization and data quality; SaaS; ETL and EAI/SOA; J2EE technologies; data marts and data warehouses; data modeling and data architecture.

* B.S. or equivalent degree.

Desired:

The Product Manager will be responsible for defining, launching, and analyzing product features for the company’s new product platform. Working directly between the customer/partner and Engineering team, you will be responsible for requirements definition, managing the customer/partner, as well as the management of the product development process through the entire Software Development Life-cycle.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Definition of product requirements and specs as well as execution into engineering team for implementation
  • Work closely with VP, customers/partner and engineering to coordinate features and ensure that customer/partners business needs are addressed quickly and efficiently throughout the entire product life-cycle
  • Help define and execute short and long-term product strategy and roadmap
Skills/Requirements
  •  At least 5 years of Product Management (and development background) experience at a software company
  • Experience defining and writing product requirements, and working with engineering to build & deliver 
  • Start-up/small company experience desired; some large company experience preferred
  • Experience with networking and networking/internet applications
  • Strong conceptual thinker with systems and system and architecture
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships with large (fortune 100) companies/partners 
  • Experience with Agile development 
  • “Can do” attitude, highly motivated and outstanding work ethic
  • 5-10 years in a PM role; 2+ years in a software development role
