Director of Product Marketing
Location: San Mateo, CA

NextLabs is looking for a really tall individual who has keen market analysis skills and outstanding communications that can work in a fast paced environment with a passion for enterprise software marketing. 

The Director of Product Marketing will drive product marketing and product go-to-market strategy and execution for NextLabs Enterprise DLP and Compliant Enterprise product lines.  In this role, she or he will work with Product Management, Corporate Marketing, Sales, Alliances, and Executives to create product positioning and messaging, develop sales tools, define and drive product go-to-market and product launch programs across multiple vertical markets and sales channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define product go-to-market programs that span press & analyst, direct marketing, events, and partner marketing channels.
  • Drive projects with cross functional teams (Executives, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Alliances) to deliver on go-to-market and product launch programs.
  • Develop marketing collateral including whitepapers, press releases, presentations and Website content.
  • Deliver sales training to direct and partner sales teams.
  • Present product to key customers and partners.
  • Participate in business development efforts with including assisting Sales and Services teams with proposal development, account strategy, and execution of sales tactics and partnership development activities.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to address existing and future customer and market development opportunities.
  • Raise NextLabs above the noise by developing thought leadership and market leadership positions.
  • Represent and evangelize products in the industry events, analyst and press communities.
  • Participate in developing a strong analyst relationship.
  • Develop a pipeline of product awards and raise the product recognition in the marketplace.

Required skills include:

  • MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years work experience in enterprise software product management or product marketing role.
  • Outstanding communication skill, both written and spoken.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Analytical ability to quickly learn, understand, and predict fast-moving emerging markets.
  • Experience in security software products and marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data security, network security, identity & access management, or information management technologies.
  • Public speaking skill is required.
  • Willingness to travel.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee products through their lifecycle, from strategic definition to end-of-life planning

  • Translate client needs into new features and write product specifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading cross functional teams and interacting with technical, non-technical, professional, and executive levels

Description:
A  Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Limelight Networks' Product Managers are responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
 
 
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
" Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
" Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
" Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products/services
