Senior Product Marketing Manager

Job Overview

Our client, an industry leader in performance management solutions, seeks a Senior Product Marketing Manager to play a central, hands-on role in driving market expansion. This is a key position as we are a marketing-oriented organization. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of Product Marketing and will be responsible for identifying, defining and testing new, untapped markets beyond the company's current strength in the contact center environment. Responsibilities will include:

  • Knowledge base research and development
  • Business plan creation and submission
  • Sales launch plan and implementation
  • Marketing plan launch and implementation
  • Product enhancement requests and use cases
  • Reference account selling and support

In addition, the SPM will participate in product marketing and business development activities in support of our current markets, including:

  • Pricing analysis
  • Product collateral
  • Competitive analysis
  • MRD development for new products and product extensions
  • Partner development

Our client is a private, profitable (since 2004), rapidly-growing, venture-backed company based in Silicon Valley. The Company's customers include blue chip, Fortune 500 companies in financial services, telecom, travel, insurance and health care. The suite of products allows companies to increase company productivity, customer satisfaction and employee morale by making critical performance data available to the entire organization and automating critical processes needed to serve customers. Product implementations include performance scorecards, goals and variable compensation systems, coaching and performance appraisal processes, employee life cycle programs and employee/customer survey tools. Our web-based application is unique in its architecture, simple deployment, ease of use, and robust capabilities.

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years of work experience in software product marketing and/or product management
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis and new product development
  • Proven ability to interact with prospects and customers in the field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal/leadership skills in working with multiple functions

Preferred Experience:

  • An MBA from a top program or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in both start-up environments and larger companies
  • An engineering or other analytical degree
  • Experience with business intelligence or other enterprise software
