To maintain our leadership position in the performance-based marketing industry, ValueClick’s Targeting and Optimization team seeks a talented and passionate Product Manager to drive the future developments of our behavioral profiling platform. Over the next year, behavioral profiling will contribute an increasingly greater share of ValueClick’s overall revenue. Moreover, this role will only grow in importance as ValueClick’s clients and the Internet overall transition from context-based to audience-based targeting.
ValueClick network of publisher web sites offers online marketers the ability to reach over 75% of US Internet users (source: Comscore). The size of this audience, combined with advanced targeting and optimization capabilities, enables advertisers to achieve impressive performance from their online marketing campaigns. ValueClick also provides online publishers with feature-rich tools to maximize both their monetization and audience experience for their site.
This position will be based either in San Francisco, CA or Westlake Village, CA.

Key duties and responsibilities
In this high-visibility role, you will take ownership of ValueClick’s sophisticated behavioral profiling suite of products. As the internal product evangelist, you will collaborate with the engineering and account management teams to define the future of behavioral profiling. As part of your responsibilities you will define product requirements for ValueClick’s profiling and behavioral targeting solutions, ValueClick’s categorization system and define additional reporting and analytical views of ValueClick’s profile datastore.
- You will also be responsible for detailed product requirements definition, as well as product launch, roll-out and product training.
- Serving as the internal and external evangelist for behavioral targeting products and keeping abreast of industry standards, new technologies, and market developments.
- Working with Sales on overall sales strategy and on-going training; participate in client sales calls as needed.
- Success in this role will be measured by growth in publisher CPM and advertiser ROI from behaviorally targeted campaigns and enrichment of visitor profiles.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience at a consumer Internet, online advertising or software company.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and influential communication skills. Experience prioritizing among competing opportunities and articulating the rationale behind decisions.
- Comfortable performing well in highly technical and non-technical environments. In this role you will often participate in highly technical engineering reviews and present the benefits of our technology to a non-technical audience.
- Prior experience with data mining, modeling, behavioral targeting, online advertising/marketing, and/or user segmentation a plus.
- An MBA or statistics degree is preferred for this position.
- Certified sense of humor.
- Passion for the designing the future of online marketing solutions.
