Reports To: Director, Messaging Product Marketing - Elan Winkler
We are looking for a product marketing manager to manage a wide range of marketing activities for our messaging security product line. This is a hands-on position that includes working across sales, partners, channels and product management organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in development of product and market requirements, competitive analysis, marketing collaterals, presentations and pricing.
- Contribute to developing product positioning and messaging in the marketplace.
- Implement marketing programs and provide support to the field sales organization and Secure Computing's global channel partners, including sales/reseller training and participation in industry events.
- Responsible for driving key market research, monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs.
- Establish pricing strategies.
- Create marketing collateral, web content, and sales presentations.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in relevant field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience (preferably in the messaging security industry).
- Excellent track record of contributing to the development of technology products.
- Solid product marketing skills, including strong writing and presentation-building skills.
- Strong analytical ability to assess complex situations and creativity to provide solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of messaging security technologies and/or security services.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience at messaging security companies such as ProofPoint, IronPort, Tumbleweed, PGP, RSA, PostX, Postini, MessageLabs, McAfee, and Symantec a plus.
